It will soon be the summer holidays!

We are not planning on going on holiday this year mainly because we are still paying off our holiday for next year LOL!!! (We are going to Salou)

We will be going days here and there but we wont be staying anywhere (Except Grannies ;) )

The days that we are stuck at home i try and make sure Matthew 7 and Heidi 3 are outside playing, I feel it is good for them both to be outside enjoying the summer air
I make sure they have the old pans outside in their little housey :)
If i think they are getting bored i will encourage them to play with something else (Cars, tractors, sandpit, paddling pool)

I give them old big blankets and they make a little hut under the holly tree, I love to see that!

At lunch time i will pack up a little picnic for them both (They love this) they sit out on the traveling rug and enjoy their little snacks.

We then often head out a woodland walk then to the park after wards :D

Matthew then gets to come home and have 40 minutes play on his tablet (I limit the time as i think he would be on it all day otherwise)

I feel very old by saying "in my day we would have been outside playing not sitting in doors with all this technology" LOL

If however it is a rainy day and they are stuck indoors i always make sure they have something to do! I am forever giving them ideas when i see them wondering around bored! They will build an indoor hut, I will join in if i am not too busy with my daily chores lol.

They paint and colour in! they both really enjoy that.

Heidi will play with her dolls and prams and Matthew enjoys playing with his tractors and cars.

I always make sure i sit with them atleast 30 minutes to paint or draw with them.

I feel it is important to keep them going with activities that don't involve too much technology! It is good for them to use their imagination and play :D
( And they sleep soooo well)

Happy Summer Reader's :D
